DAR Solo 120 – The Lightweight

 

DAR Solo 120 is a light weight version of DAR Solo UL. Visually there are no differences between both models and the structure of the airframe is similar

DAR Solo 120  covers the German LTF - UL rules as well as the LTF-L rules. With an empty weight of 120 kg the aircraft can be either registered as a normal german Ultralight or in the 120 kg category, where the pilot doesn`t need a medical.

  Here are the biggest differences from the DAR Solo ( normal Ultralight version ) to the DAR Solo 120  ( 120 kg category ) :

  • All cockpit composites parts are made of 100% carbon fiber, under vacuum in a thermal chamber. The extra - lightweight parts are: Front nose fairing, instrument panel and seat.
  • No flaps (Flaps mechanism is removed)
  • Wheels are 4 inch lightweight tubeless.
  • The empty weight is 120 kg.
